Job description
- Perform requirements-based verification activities for embedded software in accordance with DO-178C DAL A or B certification requirements.
- Develop and execute software verification procedures, test cases, and test scripts.
- Conduct low-level software integration and verification, including unit testing and integration testing.
- Analyze software requirements and ensure complete traceability between requirements, code, and test artifacts.
- Document verification results and resolve software discrepancies through defect analysis and root cause investigation.
- Collaborate with software developers, systems engineers, and certification teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in peer reviews of software requirements, design, code, and verification documentation.
- Support certification efforts by preparing documentation and verification evidence required for regulatory compliance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of verification processes and testing methodologies.
Requirements
We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Verification Engineer to support the development and certification of safety-critical avionics software. This role focuses on requirements-based verification, software integration, and testing in compliance with DO-178C standards. The ideal candidate has extensive experience verifying embedded software at Design Assurance Level (DAL) A or B and is proficient in Embedded C++ development and testing., * 5+ years of experience in embedded software verification.
- Hands-on experience performing DO-178C DAL A or DAL B Requirements-Based Verification.
- Experience with low-level software integration and verification, including unit testing.
- Strong programming experience with Embedded C++.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle processes for safety-critical embedded systems.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills., * Experience developing software requirements in accordance with DO-178C DAL A or DAL B.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another STEM-related discipline.
- Candidates without a STEM degree will be considered if they possess the required DO-178C and embedded software verification experience.
