Job description
We are seeking a dedicated Service Desk Administrator to join our team on the third shift, providing essential technical support and IT assistance to ensure seamless operations across our organization. This role is vital in maintaining the stability and efficiency of our IT infrastructure, supporting end-users, and resolving technical issues promptly. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and comprehensive knowledge of various IT systems and hardware., * Provide technical support for desktop computers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment during the third shift
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to Windows, Linux, and other operating systems
- Manage help desk tickets efficiently using designated help desk systems, ensuring timely resolution
- Support network infrastructure including LAN, VPN, DNS, TCP/IP, and Meraki devices
- Assist with Active Directory management, including user account creation, password resets, and GPO implementation
- Perform equipment troubleshooting and hardware support for desktops, servers, and network devices
- Conduct analysis and diagnostics for network troubleshooting and connectivity issues
- Support IT infrastructure maintenance tasks such as computer management and software updates
- Collaborate with team members to escalate complex issues and document resolutions thoroughly
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and assist in implementing IT policies
Requirements
- Proven experience in IT support or help desk roles with a focus on desktop and network troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Windows support environments
- Familiarity with help desk systems for customer support ticket management
- Proficiency in computer networking concepts including LAN, TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, GPOs, and LAN configurations
- Experience supporting Windows Server environments and Linux operating systems
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware components such as computer hardware peripherals and mobile devices
- Excellent communication skills to provide clear technical guidance to users at all levels
- Analysis skills for diagnosing complex technical issues quickly and accurately
- Knowledge of Active Directory management and Microsoft Windows Server administration
- Understanding of IT infrastructure components including Meraki networking devices
- Ability to work independently during third shift hours while maintaining high service standards
