Job description
- Provide high-quality, onsite IT support to staff, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of workstations, meeting spaces, and IT equipment.
- Respond to and resolve issues with docking stations, monitors, keyboards, mice, and other peripherals, including connectivity faults, driver issues, and equipment replacements.
- Carry out desk moves, including disconnecting, relocating, reconnecting, and testing IT equipment to ensure full functionality.
- Perform routine checks of meeting room and conference room AV equipment, including screens, cameras, microphones, and conferencing systems.
- Provide first-line troubleshooting for common laptop and Outlook issues, including performance checks, cache clearing, updates, and basic diagnostics.
- Support new starters with initial laptop setup, Outlook configuration, PowerToys installation, and other standard business applications.
- Support offboarding activities, including factory resets, mobile device wipes, and preparation of equipment for reissue.
- Conduct regular checks of quiet rooms and flexible office spaces to ensure IT equipment is operational and ready for use.
- Maintain accurate IT stock levels within the build room and flag low stock for replenishment.
- Support VCO account administration, with full training provided.
Requirements
- Some previous helpdesk or IT support experience.
- Experience working in high-profile, professional, and white-glove IT support environments.
- Financial services, investment, private equity, or professional services experience preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a clear, friendly, and professional approach when dealing with staff at all levels.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple requests effectively.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when managing equipment, meeting room setups, and IT stock.
- A proactive and reliable approach to providing high-quality onsite IT support.
