AWS Serverless Engineer (Python, Lambda, CDK)

Insight Global is seeking an AWS Serverless Engineer for a leading telecommunications client supporting a large-scale merger integration initiative. This candidate will be responsible for developing cloud-native solutions using AWS Lambda, Python, and CDK while helping integrate newly acquired systems and data sources into existing enterprise platforms. The ideal candidate has a strong serverless background, enjoys solving complex integration challenges, and thrives in a collaborative Agile environment where they can make an immediate impact on high-visibility business initiatives.

Day-to-Day:

Design, develop, and maintain AWS serverless applications using Lambda and Python

Build and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK

Support integration of new systems, applications, and data sources resulting from merger activities

Create and optimize cloud-native solutions for scalability and reliability

Develop and support ETL and data processing workflows where required

Collaborate with technical leads, product owners, and business stakeholders

Participate in sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions

Troubleshoot production issues and support application deployments

Contribute to architecture discussions and cloud best practice recommendations

5+ years of software engineering or cloud engineering experience

Strong AWS Lambda experience

AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit)

Python development experience

Experience building and deploying serverless applications

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience

Experience integrating new data sources and systems

Understanding of AWS cloud architecture and best practices

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Snowflake experience

ETL or data pipeline development experience

AWS API Gateway experience

AWS S3 experience

CI/CD pipeline experience

Telecommunications industry experience

Experience supporting merger, acquisition, or enterprise integration projects
