Job description
As a Staff Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and supporting enterprise workloads on cloud platforms. This role focuses on hands on engineering across infrastructure, cloud automation, and operations to ensure cloud environments are secure, scalable, and production ready. As part of the engineer team, you will partner closely with Cloud Enablement, security, infrastructure, and application teams to deliver standardized cloud capabilities that support enterprise application modernization and data platforms.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Leverages expertise to design and implement efficient and scalable solutions that meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Contributes to solution design and architecture discussions, collaborating with architects and senior engineers.
- Provides input on technical feasibility, performance optimization, and scalability considerations to ensure that the overall solution meets the desired objectives.
- Participates in code reviews and ensures adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines.
- Communicates and coordinates with team members to ensure alignment, provide technical insights, and contribute to decision-making processes.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software development experience in enterprise/web applications.
- 5+ years of experience as full stack developer in Java-based technologies including microservices/REST.
- 5+ years of experience Cloud Technologies like AWS, Google Cloud Platform or other public cloud services.
- 3+ years of experience in Agile development practices., * Experience supporting early stage enterprise cloud platforms.
- Certifications in AWS or other cloud provider.
- Experience supporting application modernization or cloud migration initiatives., * Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or equivalent work experience (High School Diploma/GED + 4 years relevant experience).
Benefits & conditions
$118,450.00 - $236,900.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
