Job description
SwiftCore Systems is hiring a Senior IT Specialist to support our technology environment in Montgomery, Alabama. This is a hands-on role for an experienced IT professional who can manage day-to-day technology operations while taking ownership of more complex technical issues.
You will work closely with employees, technical teams, and external technology providers to keep systems reliable, secure, and well supported. The role requires sound judgment, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with people at different levels of technical experience.

- Provide advanced technical support for hardware, software, networks, systems, and user access.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex IT issues while maintaining clear service records.
- Monitor system performance and help maintain reliable IT infrastructure.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, devices, and system configurations.
- Support Microsoft Windows environments, Microsoft 365, and related business applications.
- Assist with network administration, security controls, backups, and system maintenance.
- Participate in system upgrades, technology projects, and infrastructure improvements.
- Work with vendors and service providers when issues require external support.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Help identify recurring issues and recommend practical improvements.
- Provide guidance to junior IT team members when required.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional IT experience in systems administration, infrastructure support, technical support, or a related area.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Windows environments, Microsoft 365, networking, and endpoint management.
- Working knowledge of IT security, access management, backups, and system monitoring.
- Ability to prioritize competing requests and manage incidents through to resolution.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, or similar are preferred but not required.
- A degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field is helpful but equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- US work authorization is required.
