IT Technician

Our client is seeking an IT Technician for a long-term temporary opportunity near Middletown, NY, with the potential for permanent employment for the right candidate. This hands-on role will focus on preparing, configuring, and deploying IT equipment while supporting users throughout the technology refresh process., * Unbox IT equipment and break down boxes.

• Apply asset tags and set up host names in the basic input/output system.
• Complete equipment inventory.
• Install software and perform validation tasks.
• Install operating system and software patches.
• Transfer local files from old equipment to new equipment.
• Make appropriate adjustments based on findings during the user validation process.
• Deploy equipment to end users.
• Maintain accurate and appropriate documentation.

• Previous experience working with Chromebooks.
• Understanding of ticketing systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows, Chrome OS, Google Workspace, and Mac OS.
• Knowledge of projectors, smartboards, and interactive flat panels.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus., * IT support: 1 year (Preferred)
