Transportation Database and Route Support Reporting Structure Reports To: Transportation Director

Performance Responsibilities

1. Responsible for maintaining student database in the routing software; entering changes as necessary to keep data current.

2. Verify nonpublic requests for transportation for eligibility and residency.

3. Work with Student database manager to maintain accurate student information within the routing software database.

4. Communicate route or stop change information to parents.

5. Keep drivers up to date on student changes to their route.

6. Work closely with the Lead Routing Specialist in maintaining accurate student and system data within the routing software; may assist with routing as necessary.

7. Assist parents with bus stop information, registration and stop change procedures.

8. Handle parent calls with caring and affection for their needs.

9. Communicate with drivers via two-way radio.

10. Perform such other assignments or assigned duties as may be directed.

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Prior general office experience.

3. Ability to communicate effectively with staff, administrators and members of the community.

4. Experience and knowledge of routing and scheduling procedures

5. Ability to work in a demanding fast paced environment; able to multitask.

6. High knowledge of computer programs such as MS Word, Excel; with emphasis on routing software.

7. Ability to collaborate and work cooperatively in a team environment.

8. Possess basic knowledge of State and Federal Pupil Transportation rules, regulations and procedures.

9. Prior record of consistent attendance.

10. Ability to work in a fast paced, sometimes hectic environment; able to multi-task.

11. Ability to collaborate and work cooperatively in a team environment.

12. Ability to work a flexible schedule.
