Requirements

Must currently hold a Secret Clearance in order to be considered for this position 10+ years of relevant networking/systems engineering experience with a degree; 15+ years without a degree Experience conducting site surveys and implementing deployments in a government facility, including OCONUS/tactical environments Strong working knowledge of DoD networking architectures, including enclave segmentation, cross-domain considerations, and network boundary defense concepts Hands-on expertise with VLAN design and implementation (802.1Q trunking, inter-VLAN routing, port-channel/trunk configuration) across multi-site environments Hands-on expertise with VRF (Virtual Routing and Forwarding) design and configuration for traffic isolation and multi-tenant segmentation on routers and switches Experience configuring and troubleshooting long-haul encrypted routers/link encryptors for secure WAN and satellite backhaul connectivity, including Type 1/HAIPE-compliant encryption devices Solid understanding of routing protocols and concepts (BGP, OSPF, static routing) as applied to segmented/VRF-aware environments Solid understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, Ethernet, MPLS) and QoS Solid understanding of information security principles (confidentiality, integrity, availability, risk management) as applied within a DoD RMF/ATO context Ability to perform security assessments (vulnerability scans, risk analysis) on ground segment software and network devices, referencing DISA STIGs and NIST 800-53 controls Ability to configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, and firewalls in support of end-to-end system readiness Experience providing systems engineering support for operational equipment, including integration of network infrastructure Experience developing and implementing program management plans, equipment test plans, operational readiness plans, and technical requirements Experience authoring network diagrams, system administration guides, installation procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for operational network infrastructure Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders across government and commercial sectors Educational background in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field
