Job description

We are seeking a Performance & Reliability Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SRE, DevOps, and production support for high-availability systems and a proven ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and improve reliability and performance across Dotcom applications., * Handle incidents and pager alerts for business-critical applications.

  • Identify and resolve issues related to Dotcom applications, services, and resources.
  • Monitor system health and performance with attention to SLOs and SLIs.
  • Perform system monitoring and log analysis to support incident response.
  • Collaborate with developers and QA to resolve deployment defects.
  • Ensure compliance with security and change management standards.
  • Provide on-call and production support on a 24x7 rotation.
  • Act as a technical subject-matter expert for Dotcom technologies and applications.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Production Support.
  • Experience supporting production systems with high availability requirements.
  • Strong understanding of incident response, monitoring, alerting, SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.
  • Basic automation and scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar.
  • Practical understanding of React/Next.js performance concepts.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL APIs and common performance issues.
  • Ability to troubleshoot end-to-end request flows across frontend and backend.
  • Experience working in AWS-based environments.
  • Understanding of CDN behavior and caching strategies.
  • Exposure to microservices and distributed systems.
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting customer-facing, high-traffic web applications.
  • Awareness of performance and reliability expectations for retail and eCommerce platforms.
  • Exposure to peak traffic scenarios such as sales events and promotions.
  • Knowledge of the retail industry.
