Job description

The Network Operations Center ( NOC ) Engineer monitors and controls large network systems from a central location, focusing on network/system troubleshooting, alarm response, and issue resolution. This is a 100% on-site position requiring strict adherence to SLAs.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor network and server systems and respond to alerts.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and document network/system issues.
  • Manage incident reports and perform hardware/software checks.
  • Collaborate with vendors/carriers to resolve issues.
  • Use network management tools to track performance and traffic statistics., Summary: The NOC Engineer role requires monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining large network systems, ensuring SLA compliance, and collaborating with vendors. Strong technical skills, certifications, and adaptability to shifting schedules are key.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or IT-related fields.
  • Minimum 3+ year of relevant experience.
  • Willingness to work shifting schedules, including weekends.
  • Cisco/Microsoft certifications and ITIL knowledge are advantageous.

Technical Competencies:

  • Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting network infrastructures.

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (WhatsUp Gold, Solarwinds, Zabbix, etc.).
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
