IT Support Technician - Business Applications

• Provide responsive first-line support for workplace hardware, software, Microsoft 365, connectivity, printers, mobile devices, and standard business applications.
• Support employees with day-to-day questions in SAP and other applications; understand the underlying business need, resolve within the role’s knowledge level, or escalate with clear information.
• Develop practical knowledge of relevant manufacturing and administrative processes and act as a link between site users, business key users, and central IT teams.
• Manage incidents and service requests transparently in the IT service management system, including documentation, user communication, and follow-up.
• Create and maintain user guides, knowledge articles, local procedures, and handover documentation.
• Support local testing, user training, communication, and rollout activities for centrally managed changes and projects.
• Coordinate business requirements and recurring user issues with the responsible process owners and central specialists.
• Work closely with the other on-site IT colleague and provide mutual backup for daily operations and absences.
• Follow Group IT standards for security, access, purchasing, change management, and support processes.
• Other duties as assigned

We are looking for a practical and service-oriented IT all-rounder who combines hands-on end-user support with a strong interest in business processes and applications, especially SAP. The role is well suited to a candidate who is eager to learn and grow into a trusted local application and key-user contact., * Associate degree, vocational training, or comparable practical experience in IT, business information systems, or a related field, required.

• Initial experience in IT support, workplace support, business applications, or another customer-facing technical role; suitable internships or practical project experience may also be considered, required.
• Broad basic knowledge of Windows workplaces, Microsoft 365, common business software, networks, user accounts, and IT troubleshooting, required.
• Strong service mindset, clear communication, structured problem-solving, reliable follow-through, and good documentation habits, required.
• Interest in manufacturing and business processes, with the ability to learn independently and collaborate with distributed teams, required.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and flexibility for occasional coordination with European colleagues, required.
• Experience as an SAP user, key user, super user, junior business analyst, or application support colleague, preferred.
• Experience with manufacturing, planning, materials, warehouse, quality, sales, or finance processes, preferred.
• Experience with ServiceNow or another IT service management tool, preferred.
• Exposure to Microsoft server technologies, VMware, endpoint administration, or basic network troubleshooting, preferred.
• Experience with user training, documentation, testing, or coordination of small work packages, preferred.
