Desktop Support Specialist

The PCaaS Asset Manager will be responsible for end-to-end management, tracking, governance, and reporting of all PCaaS (PC as a Service) assets and related service requests. The role requires proactive monitoring of asset lifecycle activities, inventory accuracy, device refresh programs, procurement coordination, asset recovery, and stakeholder communication to ensure seamless service delivery and compliance., Asset Lifecycle Management

• Manage the complete lifecycle of PCaaS assets from procurement through deployment, support, refresh, redeployment, and disposal.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for laptops, desktops, monitors, peripherals, and loaner devices.
• Ensure all assets are properly tagged, tracked, and reconciled in asset management systems.
• Monitor warranty status, lease periods, refresh schedules, and replacement requirements.

Request & Ticket Management

• Serve as the central point of contact for all PCaaS-related requests.
• Track and manage hardware fulfillment requests, device refreshes, upgrades, swaps, returns, and recoveries.
• Coordinate with service desk, logistics, procurement, and engineering teams to ensure SLA adherence.
• Provide regular status updates on open requests and pending actions.

Inventory & Reporting

• Maintain asset inventory accuracy and conduct regular audits and reconciliations.
• Generate weekly and monthly operational dashboards covering:
• Asset inventory
• Device deployments
• Asset recoveries
• Refresh status
• Aging requests
• SLA performance
• Stock availability
• Analyze trends and identify risks related to asset shortages, delays, and compliance gaps.

Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with business stakeholders, vendors, logistics teams, and support groups.
• Participate in governance meetings and provide asset management updates.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance asset visibility and operational efficiency.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure compliance with company asset management policies and standards.
• Support internal and external audits by providing asset records and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate asset ownership, location, and status information.
• Ensure timely recovery of assets from employee exits and contractor offboarding activities.

Vendor & Procurement Coordination

• Coordinate with vendors for ordering, shipping, receiving, and return management.
• Track procurement requests and delivery timelines.
• Manage stock levels and maintain minimum inventory thresholds.
