Job description

  • Preparing for and welcoming guests who are blind or have low vision to Lincoln Center
  • Designing and analyzing feedback from stakeholders in audio description, including access workers, artists and audience members.
  • Conduct user testing digital accessibility through manual and automated tests. Provide recommendations to Digital team for improvements.
  • Supporting staffing, registration and correspondence with program participants for access programs
  • Providing administrative departmental support through phone, email and in person at events

This Fellow will be required to work flexible hours, including weekdays, nights, and weekends

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a current or recent graduate student in Disability Studies, Performance Studies, or Programming/Marketing with an emphasis on Accessibility, and brings a strong understanding of live audio description for performances and/or assistive technology for digital navigation used by people who are blind or have low vision. Candidates with personal or professional experience with disability are strongly preferred.

Benefits & conditions

This Fellowship is 10 months; up to 20 hours/week at $28/hour, mainly in person with some remote hours.
