Telecommunications Technician

TelcoDen is seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Field Engineer to install, repair, and build telecommunications systems. The role will primarily involve working with Coax and Fiber cables, with additional responsibilities including the installation and configuration of Ciena and Cisco equipment, OTDR testing, and test and turn-up processes. Experience with Eltek DC power installation and Juniper router installation is also required., * Install, configure, and repair telecommunications systems, with a focus on Ciena and Cisco equipment

• Perform OTDR testing, test, and turn-up of fiber optic systems
• Install and configure Juniper routers
• Install Eltek DC power systems
• Work with Coax and Fiber cables
• Travel up to 100% of the time, with primary operations based in Waco, TX
• Adhere to safety protocols, including working in confined spaces or aloft (up to 28 ft.)
• Use small power tools and lift equipment weighing between 50-80 lbs
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions

• Experience with Ciena, Cisco, and Juniper equipment
• Experience with OTDR testing
• Experience with Eltek DC power installation
• Valid state driver’s license and a dependable vehicle for work
• Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings and weekends
• Ability to lift and move up to 120 lbs
• Ladder Safety Requirement: Due to equipment specifications, the total weight of the employee plus any tools or gear must not exceed 300 lbs to comply with ladder safety ratings.
• Comfortable working in small, confined spaces and at heights of 10 - 12 feet.
• Standing up to 8 hours per day., * Open to applicants without a high school diploma/GED
• Open to applicants without a college diploma
• Requires a valid driver’s license
