Job description
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and improving mechanical systems, components, and manufacturing processes. This role works closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, quality, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure products meet performance, reliability, quality, safety, and cost objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software.

Create and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.

Conduct engineering analyses, calculations, and simulations to validate designs.

Support prototype development, testing, and product validation activities.

Identify and implement design improvements to enhance product performance, manufacturability, quality, and cost efficiency.

Collaborate with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot production issues and develop corrective actions.

Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Work with suppliers and vendors on component selection, qualification, and technical problem-solving.

Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, codes, regulations, and company procedures.

Develop and execute testing plans and evaluate test results.

Assist with project planning, scheduling, and execution to meet project milestones and business objectives.

Support product launches, engineering change requests, and ongoing product maintenance.

Prepare technical reports, presentations, and engineering recommendations.
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
-
2+ years of engineering experience preferred (experience requirements may vary based on level).

Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar design tools.

Knowledge of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and material properties.

Experience with engineering analysis, testing, and problem-solving methodologies.

Understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.

Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
