- Day-to-day helpdesk queries.
- Technology migrations and upgrades.
- Documentation and communication with clients.
- Updates and other maintenance checklist items for workstations, servers, and network appliances.
- Troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs.
- Full time, 40 hours per week with mixed schedule: Core M-F 8AM-5PM with time off given in exchange for hours worked for after-hours maintenance work on customer IT systems that cannot be shut down during the business day. Technicians also take turns with the on-call phone.
Requirements
- Customer service experience: Ability to communicate quickly, concisely and professionally to clients regarding their technology options.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, touch typing skills.
- Excellent business communication written and verbal.
- Networking Infrastructure (firewalls, switches, wifi.)
- PC and Mac troubleshooting skills.
- Windows Server technology.
- Methodical approach to technical problems.
- Team player: Promotes cooperation and mutual support to achieve goals. Shares information when helping and gets help when needed.
- Sees tasks through to completion in a timely manner.
- Manages time effectively and prioritizes.
- Valid driver’s license, and good driving record.
- Ability and willingness to follow procedures and document work.
- Accepts responsibility for quality of work, results, and customer perception.
- Willingness and ability to spend some hours each week doing after-hours maintenance.
- Adaptable and Flexible: Adapts approach and methods to achieve needed results for the customer. Recovers quickly from setbacks and finds alternatives.
- Knowledge and experience in structured cabling is a big plus in your favor., * IT Help desk: 2 years (Preferred)
- Customer service: 2 years (Preferred)
