Law Practice Management Software Software as a Service Document Management Systems Software Licensing Microsoft Power Automate Zapier Hardware Asset Management Api Design

Job description

We’re seeking a hands-on IT Support Specialist to manage our internal technology operations - from employee onboarding/offboarding to hardware asset management to administering and optimizing our legal practice software (Lawmatics, Docketwise, and MyCase). This is a great fit for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats: part help desk, part systems administrator, part legal-tech power user.

Key Responsibilities

Onboarding & Offboarding

  • Set up new hire accounts, hardware, email, and system access (including Lawmatics/Docketwise/MyCase user profiles and permissions)

  • Conduct IT orientation for new employees

  • Manage secure offboarding: account deactivation, equipment retrieval, access revocation across all platforms

Hardware & Asset Management

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all PCs, laptops, monitors, phones, and peripherals

  • Track asset lifecycle: procurement, deployment, maintenance, retirement

  • Coordinate repairs, warranty claims, and vendor relationships

  • Manage software licensing and compliance records

Legal Software Administration & Automation

  • Serve as in-house admin for Lawmatics, Docketwise, and MyCase

  • Build and maintain automations and workflows within and across these platforms (intake sequences, status updates, document triggers, task assignments, etc.)

  • Manage integrations between Lawmatics, Docketwise, MyCase, and other firm systems (email, calendar, e-signature, document management)

  • Train attorneys and staff on proper platform usage; troubleshoot user issues

  • Evaluate and recommend additional automation opportunities to reduce manual work (e.g., Zapier or native integrations)

  • Maintain data hygiene and reporting/dashboards across systems

Requirements

  • 2+ years in an IT support or systems administration role, ideally in a law firm or professional services environment

  • Hands-on experience with Lawmatics, Docketwise, and/or MyCase strongly preferred (or comparable legal practice management/CRM software)

  • Experience building automations/workflows within SaaS platforms

  • Strong understanding of hardware asset tracking and inventory management

  • Familiarity with onboarding/offboarding security best practices

  • Excellent communication skills - comfortable supporting non-technical attorneys and staff

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Trainual or similar onboarding/training platforms

  • Zapier, Power Automate, or API-based integration experience

  • Immigration or civil litigation practice background (helps with Docketwise workflows specifically
