Job description
A defined escalation path: when you’re stumped, escalating to your lead after a genuine attempt is the expected, professional move, not a failure. You will never be left to sink.
-
A structured first 90 days: written checkpoints at 30, 60, and 90 days, so you always know what to learn next and how you’re doing.
-
A real growth ladder: we develop technicians toward Tier 2 and beyond, with certification support (CompTIA A+ and up) and stretch assignments as you earn them.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
-
Resolve Tier 1 service tickets: password resets, user onboarding/offboarding, desktop and laptop troubleshooting, printers and peripherals, Microsoft 365 and Outlook issues, and desk phone support
-
Answer support calls professionally and log every ticket with clear notes, documentation is part of the job here, not an afterthought
-
Go on-site: rack and cable equipment, mount wireless access points, swap hardware, and be the hands for senior engineers on installs (ladders, crawl spaces, and equipment rooms included)
-
Run recurring maintenance checklists (backup verification, patch checks) as you’re trained on them
Requirements
Eagerness to learn and reliable follow-through, you do what you say you’ll do, and your tickets prove it
-
Clear, courteous communication with non-technical people, on the phone and in person
-
Basic computer literacy: comfortable navigating Windows, installing software, and figuring things out
-
Physical capability for field work: climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, working in equipment rooms
-
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, travel between client sites is routine
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT: Some of our clients operate under strict compliance requirements. You must pass a fingerprint-based background check and complete required security awareness training. A disqualifying criminal history will prevent employment in this role.
