QA Tester

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or related discipline, or equivalent related experience.\n
• 5-8 years of experience in manual testing in a full lifecycle / agile environment.\n
• 1-2 years of experience in automation testing, including testing methodologies, tools, and best practice.\n
• Hands-on experience testing software applications in Azure cloud environment\n
• Strong background in Azure Automated testing \n
• Experience testing, configuring, and/or customizing applications built on the ServiceNow platform.\n, * Experience with ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).\n
• Proficiency in Java programming and SQL.\n
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.\n
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).\n

Akumen is seeking a skilled QA Tester with experience in ServiceNow to join our innovative team supporting a high-functioning development team at the Department of State. The Analyst will join a QA team that is implementing automated test frameworks for both Azure custom development and ServiceNow (using ATF). The team is looking for a mid-level QA Analyst with demonstrated experience and exposure to automation testing frameworks and testing tools. \n \n Responsibilities:\n \n \n

• Plan and implement various types of testing (e.g., regression, manual, functional, data validation, system integration, load, or performance tests) for new and existing functionality.\n
• Work closely with development teams to design testing strategies and integrate testing into the development process.\n
• Plan, create, execute, and automate test cases, collaborating with business partners, developers, and other stakeholders.\n
• Document and analyze test results and recommend corrective actions.\n
• Isolate, reproduce, manage, and maintain defects and test case databases, and verify fixes.\n
• Support user acceptance testing conducted by business partners or end users.\n
• Conduct exploratory testing and risk analysis for complex features, especially those that span across platforms or teams.\n
• Define and champion quality and testing best practices among development team in an Agile environment.\n
• Collaborate and share information with other software QA engineers.\n
• Write test cases, map out test scenarios, design reusable automated test scripts, and execute tests daily.\n
• Test solutions in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability, and compatibility with other legacy and/or external systems.\n
• Work closely with developers, professional services team, and product owners to define the testing components to validate requirements against developed software.\n
• Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements, and design test coverage plans.\n
• Identify any potential quality issues per the defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management.\n
• Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.\n
• Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.\n
