Job description

The Technical Records Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate, complete, and compliant aircraft maintenance records in accordance with FAA regulations, company policies, customer requirements, and manufacturer maintenance programs. This position ensures the integrity of aircraft logbooks, maintenance tracking systems, component records, airworthiness directives (ADs), service bulletins (SBs), and inspection documentation to support continued airworthiness and regulatory compliance., * Assist in closing out W/O for the Billing Department.

  • Maintain and update aircraft, engine, and component maintenance records.
  • Review maintenance documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Enter maintenance actions, inspections, repairs, alterations, and component changes into electronic tracking systems.
  • Monitor and track inspection intervals, life-limited parts, recurring maintenance requirements, and component due dates.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer maintenance manuals, and approved maintenance programs.
  • Process aircraft logbook entries and verify proper maintenance release documentation.
  • Research aircraft records to support maintenance planning, audits, and customer requests.
  • Maintain Airworthiness Directive (AD) and Service Bulletin (SB) compliance records.
  • Coordinate records of transfers during aircraft acquisitions, sales, lease returns, and customer deliveries.
  • Prepare maintenance records packages for FAA inspections, customer audits, and regulatory reviews.
  • Organize, scan, archive, and maintain both electronic and physical maintenance records.
  • Identify discrepancies, missing documentation, or record inaccuracies and work with maintenance personnel to resolve issues.
  • Generate reports related to aircraft status, inspections, component tracking, and maintenance compliance.
  • Support quality assurance and maintenance management initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Spreadsheets?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of 2 years of aviation maintenance records experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations including Parts 43, 91, 135, and/or 145.
  • Experience with aviation maintenance tracking systems.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance documentation and recordkeeping practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Aviation Maintenance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience supporting helicopter maintenance operations.
  • Previous experience in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station and/or Part 135 operation will be given preference.
  • Knowledge of FAA audit processes and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with electronic document management systems.

  • Ability to maintain organized records in a fast-paced aviation environment.
  • Strong data entry and documentation management skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry records, files, and office materials up to 25 pounds.
