Job description

As the Senior DevOps Engineer, you would own our Google Cloud infrastructure end to end, covering architecture, provisioning, security, and cost across our environment using Terraform. You’ll be the primary infrastructure engineer responsible for reliability, scalability, and operational maturity of our GCP footprint., * Design, build, and maintain Google Cloud infrastructure using Terraform: compute (GCE, GKE, Cloud Run), networking (VPC, subnets, firewall rules, VPNs/interconnects), storage, and IAM

  • Own Terraform module structure and remote state management, including drift detection
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure changes (plan/apply workflows, PR-based review gates)
  • Enforce least-privilege IAM across projects, folders, and org policy
  • Manage cost visibility and optimization (budgets, alerts, rightsizing, committed use discounts)
  • Build monitoring, logging, and alerting via Cloud Monitoring/Logging

Containerization & Kubernetes

  • Assess existing workloads and produce a prioritized containerization and migration plan, ranked by risk and complexity
  • Containerize applications: write and maintain Dockerfiles, resolve dependency issues introduced by the container transition
  • Design and provision GKE cluster architecture via Terraform (node pools, autoscaling, ingress/load balancing, private clusters)
  • Migrate stateful services (databases, persistent volumes) with explicit rollback plans, not just stateless apps
  • Implement secrets management for containerized workloads (Secret Manager integration, no hardcoded credentials in images)
  • Build CI/CD for container builds and Kubernetes deployments (build, scan, push to Artifact Registry, deploy via Terraform)
  • Define and enforce Kubernetes RBAC and network policies

Operational & Cross-Functional

  • Document infrastructure architecture, migration runbooks, and decision records
  • Partner with engineering on deployment needs without becoming a bottleneck
  • Participate in incident response and on-call rotation for infrastructure and migrated workloads
  • Coordinate with security/compliance on infra-layer controls (VPC Service Controls, org policy constraints)

Requirements

  • 5+ years in DevOps/infrastructure engineering, minimum 2 to 3 years hands-on with GCP and Terraform in production
  • Demonstrated experience containerizing applications and operating Kubernetes (GKE preferred) in production
  • Experience migrating stateful workloads (databases, persistent storage) without data loss
  • Strong Linux, networking, and IAM/security fundamentals
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, 5 days a week in-person startup environment in NYC

NICE TO HAVES

  • Kubernetes observability tooling (Prometheus/Grafana, Datadog, or similar)
  • Experience taking an existing production environment to full Infrastructure-as-Code coverage
  • Familiarity with policy-as-code enforcement (OPA/Gatekeeper) for Kubernetes RBAC and network policies, * High ownership: you don’t just advise - you drive the work to completion.
  • Systems thinking: you can reason about messy workflows and design something scalable, not one-off.
  • Customer empathy + backbone: you listen deeply, then confidently set boundaries and callout tradeoffs.
  • Fast learner: you ramp into new domains and tools quickly.

Benefits & conditions

  • Competitive salary with meaningful equity
  • In-person team in NYC - high ownership, fast feedback loops
  • Direct impact on a company growing at an exceptional pace
  • A front-row seat to building the operating system for CPG brands

About the company

Glimpse is the leading AI platform for CPG brands - automating critical back-office workflows like deductions management, revenue recovery, and cash application. Since launching in April 2024, we’ve grown from 0 to 200+ customers, raised $52M from investors including a16z, 8VC and Y Combinator.

Our AI agents retrieve deduction data, validate charges, automate cash application, and dispute invalid claims - work that would take a full-time employee years to complete. For a $1B CPG brand, a single Glimpse agent reviewed 17,000 deductions in under 24 hours, identifying over $10M in recoverable revenue.

We’re building the next-generation suite of services for consumer brands and are looking for exceptional people to help us scale.
