Job description

  • Remotely monitor and support active MWD operations throughout the Permian Basin
  • Monitor real-time drilling data and identify potential operational or tool-related issues
  • Troubleshoot MWD tools, surface systems, software, communications, and data issues alongside field personnel
  • Work extensively with DigiDrill systems and software
  • Support operations utilizing Erdos Miller Eclipse systems
  • Review and QC surveys, gamma data, inclination, azimuth, and other MWD data before customer delivery
  • Assist field personnel with tool programming, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Communicate clearly with MWD field personnel, directional drillers, customers, and operations management
  • Maintain accurate operational records and document troubleshooting and equipment issues
  • Manage multiple active jobs simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

Requirements

True Shot LLC is looking for an experienced and dependable Remote MWD Operations Specialist to join our Permian Basin operations team.

This position is ideal for an MWD professional who is technically strong, comfortable working with computers and drilling software, and capable of troubleshooting problems and making sound decisions in a fast-paced remote operations environment., Required:

  • Previous hands-on MWD experience
  • Strong working knowledge ofDigiDrill
  • Experience with Erdos Miller Eclipse tools and/or software
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly navigate multiple programs, systems, and data platforms
  • Solid understanding of MWD tools, surface equipment, programming, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to interpret surveys, gamma data, inclination, azimuth, and other directional drilling information
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently without constant supervision
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to remain organized while supporting multiple operations
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as required

Preferred:

  • 3+ years of MWD experience
  • Previous remote operations or MWD command center experience
  • Experience working Permian Basin operations
  • Midland/Odessa area resident
  • Experience troubleshooting computer hardware, software, networking, or communications issues

We’re looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, learns quickly, communicates well, and can be counted on when operations get busy. You should be comfortable working independently, digging into technical problems, and finding solutions rather than waiting for someone else to solve them.

This is a hands-on operational role where reliability, technical ability, computer proficiency, and good judgment matter., If you have strong MWD experience, know DigiDrill, have experience with Erdos Miller Eclipse, and are confident troubleshooting both MWD and computer-related issues, we’d like to hear from you!
