Job description

The 911 Systems Analyst duties will include and not limited to maintaining technology compliance with the CJIS security policy and all applicable security requirements of the criminal justice network and systems. Process, clear and maintain a list of vendors that require access to secured areas in accordance with the CJIS security policy. Perform CJIS audits on systems accessing the state and national databases. Assist with recordings from SAO, agencies served by the PSC as well as assist with public record requests. Runs daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports, and reports as requested by the bureau or assistant commander. Creates reports as needed or as requested by the bureau or assistant bureau commander. Reviews and processes help desk tickets in accordance with agency policies.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate skill in the use of Microsoft office applications, data analysis, database administration, report building, etc.
  • Demonstrated skill in the use of computer and office equipment as required to perform the position tasks.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbal and written, demonstrating an awareness for diversity to citizens and colleagues.
  • Document internal procedures.
  • Report issues to the section manager or supervisor for escalation.
  • Utilize agency databases, records management systems, and reporting platforms to retrieve information and generate reports as directed.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, confidential environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • Demonstrated creativity, initiative, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, software platforms, and communication tools.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum four years related work experience, or Associates Degree and two years

related work experience

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office requires all employees to have either an associates degree, 60 equivalent hours from an accredited college or university or the Wonderlic Basic Skills Test. The Wonderlic Basic Skills Test measures verbal and quantitative skills. Civilians must achieve a minimum passing score of Verbal - 248 and Quantitative - 241.
