Job description

PDS Optical is seeking a dependable, customer-focused IT Support Technician to provide onsite technical support at our Florida manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for supporting employees with day-to-day technology needs, maintaining computer equipment, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring reliable operation of IT systems throughout the facility., * Provide first-level technical support for desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and mobile devices.

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows computers and peripheral equipment.
  • Troubleshoot Microsoft 365, email, printing, networking, and software issues.
  • Create and manage user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.
  • Install software updates and perform routine computer maintenance.
  • Support production workstations and office technology.
  • Maintain inventory of computers and IT equipment.
  • Document support requests and resolutions.
  • Coordinate with outside IT vendors when necessary.
  • Assist with IT projects and equipment deployments.
  • Follow company cybersecurity and data security procedures.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of IT support experience preferred.
  • Associate degree or technical certification preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Working knowledge of:
  • Windows 10/11
  • Microsoft 365
  • Active Directory (basic user administration)
  • Printers and scanners
  • Basic networking (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, switches)
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and move computer equipment as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting manufacturing or warehouse operations is a plus but not required.

  • Familiarity with barcode scanners, label printers, or production equipment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune or endpoint management.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical aptitude who enjoys solving problems, working directly with users, and being part of a collaborative team. The pay range or this position is $25.00 - $32.00 hourly ($52,000 - $67,000 annually). This is an onsite position located in our Fort Lauderdale Optical Lab., $25.00
