Job description

The lab directly supports NXP’s manufacturing operations measuring ultra-trace levels of dopants, film compositions, and contaminants. The team uses special tooling to monitor how materials properties impact electrical and physical properties of semiconductors. Job duties and applicant requirements include :

  • SIMS analysis on semiconductor and silicon samples
  • Cutting / Cleaving of wafers and devices, isolation of sites with optical microscope
  • Deprocessing of wafers using HF and other chemical etchants
  • Maintenance and repair of high-vacuum high-voltage equipment
  • Interpretation of results using computer data analytics
  • Interfacing with lab and process engineering teams
  • Shift work required to support 24x7 manufacturing operations
  • Excellent writing skills to create reports and emails describing results
  • SPC analysis of data and reaction to OOC conditions

Requirements

NXP Semiconductor’s Analytical Lab in Austin, TX has an opening to join our team for an exciting opportunity as an analyst in our SIMS group (Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry). The ideal candidate will minimally possess an Associate’s degree in a technical field, or preferably a BS in a STEM discipline.
