Job description

The Epic Certified PB/HB Health Services Specialist at Scaled Health plays a crucial role in collaborating with the client to develop, maintain, and provide training on hospital billing and professional billing processes. This multifaceted position requires a deep understanding of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, including Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, and Meditech. The individual’s level within the role will be determined based on their years of experience and expertise in application knowledge.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaboration and Communication:

a. Work closely with Scaled Health clients to understand their specific needs and requirements related to hospital billing and professional billing.

  1. EMR Systems Expertise:

a. Demonstrate expert knowledge in various EMR systems, such as Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, and Meditech.

b. Stay updated on the latest developments and updates in EMR technology to ensure effective collaboration and support.

  1. Development and Maintenance:

a. Participate in the development and maintenance of hospital billing and professional billing processes.

b. Implement best practices to optimize billing workflows and ensure compliance with industry standards.

  1. Customization and Optimization

a. Customize configurations to meet the unique needs of the organization, ensuring efficient and accurate billing practices.

  1. Training and Support:

a. Conduct training sessions for both internal teams and client personnel on the effective use of billing processes within the specified EMR systems.

b. Develop training materials and documentation to facilitate the learning process.

c. Provide ongoing support to users, addressing queries, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring optimal system utilization.

d. Collaborate with technical teams to address any system-related challenges.

  1. Compliance:

a. Stay informed about industry regulations and compliance standards related to hospital billing processes.

b. Ensure that EMR configurations adhere to regulatory requirements.

Requirements

MBA in healthcare informatics, Health Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field desired but not required.

Epic Certification in relevant modules required (e.g., Resolute Hospital Billing, Resolute Professional Billing, Claims).

Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle management.

8+ years of experience and amazing customer service skills is preferred.

8 + years of experience in health services, with a focus on hospital billing and professional billing.

Proven expertise in EMR systems, including Epic.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Ability to adapt to evolving healthcare technology and industry standards.

Ability to travel to client site upon request., * Strong understanding of EPIC revenue cycle management: 5 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Epic PB/HB (Resolute) Certification(s) (Required)
