Job description

The Training Systems Specialist serves as the site subject matter expert for training systems and training records. This role supports the development, administration, reporting, and continuous improvement of training programs across the facility.

The Training Systems Specialist partners with Operations, Quality, Safety, HR, Maintenance, and Continuous Improvement teams to ensure employees receive the right training at the right time, training records remain accurate, and leaders have visibility to training completion, certification status, and workforce capability.

Part of our Continuous Improvement team - this position plays a key role in building sustainable training systems that support associate development, TPM, operational excellence, and long-term site performance., * Serve as the primary site resource for training systems, learning platforms, and training records.

  • Oversees training matrices, skills matrices, certification records, and employee training data.
  • Monitor training compliance and follow up with leaders on overdue or incomplete training.
  • Trains others to create and distribute trainings, reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
  • Support onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.
  • Coordinate training events and ensure completion records are properly documented.
  • Partner with department leaders and Education and Training Pillar to identify training gaps and development opportunities.
  • Assist with creation and maintenance of standard work instructions (SWIs), One Point Lessons (OPLs), and other training materials.
  • Support TPM, Education & Training (E&T), and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with document control processes and management of training documentation.
  • Support development and enhancement of digital training tools, databases, Power Apps, and reporting systems.
  • Work with subject matter experts to develop training paths and certification requirements for positions across the site.
  • Troubleshoot training system issues and provide user support to leaders and associates.
  • Supports and backs up other members of the CI Team.
  • Help ensure training processes are standardized, sustainable, and aligned with business goals.

Requirements

  • Experience coordinating employee training programs in manufacturing, distribution, or operations environments.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, SharePoint, or learning management systems preferred.
  • Experience working with databases, records management, or reporting tools.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work across departments and influence without direct authority.
  • Comfortable analyzing data and translating information into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and follow-through.
