Job description
The Learning Technology Specialist provides hands-on operational and technical support for enterprise learning platforms. This role focuses on system stability, platform updates, and user supportparticularly during LMS transitions and ongoing platform optimization. This is an execution-focused role supporting LMS/LXP environments, not leading platform ownership or migration strategy., Platform Administration & Support
- Administer and support enterprise LMS/LXP platforms (e.g., Cornerstone, Degreed, Workday)
- Configure courses, curricula, learning paths, assignments, and user audiences
- Perform quality checks on content, metadata, and overall learner experience
- Provide Tier 2 support for platform issues, including troubleshooting and escalation
Operational Execution
- Support content uploads, testing, and validation (SCORM/xAPI)
- Assist with release testing, regression testing, and post-release validation
- Execute system configuration changes based on defined requirements
- Reduce operational backlog (tickets, data cleanup, reporting requests)
Data, Reporting & Integrations (Support-Level)
- Run and validate standard LMS/LXP reports
- Perform data validation related to completions, assignments, and user access
- Support Workday user file validation and identify data issues (no integration ownership)
- Document recurring issues and escalate trends to IT or vendors
Vendor & Stakeholder Support
- Partner with platform vendors to resolve defects and support tickets
- Support internal stakeholders (L&D, HR, IT) with platform-related questions
- Create and maintain documentation, FAQs, and standard operating procedures
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise LMS/LXP platforms
- Bachelors degree in Learning, HR, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong knowledge of LMS administration, learning assignments, and reporting
- Experience working with SCORM and/or xAPI content
- Ability to execute against defined processes and requirements
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Experience with platforms such as Cornerstone, Degreed, and/or Workday
