Job description

The System Manager is responsible for the ownership, stability, and continuous improvement of finance and business controlling systems across the group. The role ensures that financial processes are correctly reflected in systems, data quality is maintained, integrations work reliably, and finance teams are supported with robust, scalable system solutions. System ownership & governance

  • Act as business owner for all finance-related systems (Microsoft Business Central, ReadSoft, ExFlow, Planful, Rydoo, Finance NOD in AWS).
  • Ensure systems are configured in line with accounting, controlling, and internal control requirements.
  • Maintain system documentation, configurations, and change logs.

Process & data management

  • Translate finance and controlling processes into system logic (invoicing, approvals, cost allocation, reporting structures).
  • Own master data governance (customers, vendors, chart of accounts, cost centers, dimensions).
  • Ensure data consistency across entities, countries, and systems.

Change Management

  • Own and govern finance system changes end-to-end, including impact assessment, prioritisation, stakeholder communication, testing coordination, and controlled deployment.
  • Ensure all changes are documented, approved, tested, and communicated to affected finance teams to minimise operational risk and disruption.

Reporting support

  • Support month-end and year-end close from a system perspective.
  • Ensure data availability, correct mappings, and smooth data flows into reporting and consolidation tools.
  • Troubleshoot system-related close issues and implement preventive solutions.

User access management

  • Manage user roles, access rights, and segregation of duties in line with internal controls.
  • Coordinate onboarding and off-boarding from a system access perspective.
  • Support audits by providing system-related documentation and evidence.

Integrations & automation

  • Own and monitor system integrations and interfaces (BC vs Planful vs AWS, BC vs CRM, Settlement vs BC vs AWS).
  • Coordinate automation initiatives to reduce manual work and operational risk.
  • Test and validate changes, upgrades, and new releases.

Issue management & support

  • Act as first-line business support for finance system issues.
  • Analyse root causes, define workarounds, and coordinate fixes with IT and external vendors.
  • Maintain a structured ticket and issue log.

Development & project coordination

  • Gather business requirements and translate them into system change requests.
  • Coordinate system developments with implementation partners and internal IT.
  • Participate in system implementations, upgrades, and rollouts.

Training & knowledge sharing

  • Act as “super user” for finance systems.
  • Train accounting and controlling teams on system usage and process changes.
  • Maintain user guides and process documentation.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of accounting and business controlling processes
  • Hands-on experience with finance systems (Microsoft Business Central, Planful, Aaro, ExFlow ReadSoft, CRM, Rydoo, AWS - QuickSight, Asana, Jira, Power BI, Power Automate)
  • Experience with master data management and system integration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to translate business requirements into system solutions
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and process-driven mindset
  • Experience in a multi-entity, multi-country environment
  • Exposure to internal controls, audits
  • Project management experience in system implementations
