Artificial Intelligence Component-Based Software Engineering JSON Knowledge Management Metadata Software Tools Systems Architecture GPT

Job description

We are seeking a Knowledge Experience Builder (KXB) to join one of our large, well-known tech clients. This role sits at the intersection of content design and production leadership, ensuring that structured, enriched inputs are transformed into high-quality, production-ready knowledge assets that meet strict design and usability standards.

In this role, you will direct content within the production function. Working from enriched content packages, such as decision trees, structured JSON, metadata models, and drafted content. You will make critical decisions about structure, format, and implementation. You will guide how content should be built, determine the appropriate platform and component usage, and ensure that every output aligns with established Knowledge Experience Designer (KXD) standards and system architecture. You will leverage AI tools such as Gemini and other automation systems to accelerate production, but you remain accountable for quality, coherence, and correctness.

If you are the right fit, you are comfortable making structured content decisions at scale, experienced in working within design systems and content frameworks, and confident evaluating whether outputs meet a high quality bar. You understand how to balance speed and precision, and you are skilled at using AI to increase throughput without compromising accuracy or intent.

This role is production focused, but includes a layer of leadership within the workflow. You will verify outputs against KXD standards, own peer review for consistency and correctness, and provide actionable feedback to Knowledge Experience Specialists (KXS). You will also identify issues requiring escalation to designers or program stakeholders, and contribute to evolving templates, patterns, and content structures over time.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in content design, UX writing, technical writing, or similar roles
  • Strong understanding of design systems, style guides, and component-based content architecture
  • Experience working with structured content formats (e.g., decision trees, metadata, JSON, or similar frameworks)
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to support or scale content production
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality under production pressure
  • Experience with knowledge management systems or help center content environments

Preferred:

  • Background in instructional design, learning experience design, or educational content development
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS
  • Experience mentoring, reviewing, or guiding other content practitioners
  • Strong reasoning ability around content structure and information hierarchy (“why this structure over another”)
  • Experience developing templates, patterns, or frameworks that were adopted by others in a team or organization
