Job description

Insight Global is seeking a Lead Network Systems Engineer to support the design, integration, testing, and deployment of secure military communications networks. This individual will lead efforts across the full engineering lifecycle, from network architecture and detailed schematics through implementation, troubleshooting, system verification, and customer delivery. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in enterprise networking technologies, network security, and tactical communications environments.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have experience configuring and supporting Cisco-based networking infrastructure, next-generation firewalls, and complex routing environments utilizing technologies such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, GRE, IPsec, DMVPN, QoS, VLANs, multicast, DNS, NTP, and VoIP. This role requires the ability to collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, support customer qualification events, and provide technical leadership in highly regulated and mission-critical environments.

Candidates should possess an active DoD Secret Clearance, 9+ years of relevant network engineering experience, and a strong understanding of secure communications systems. Experience with HAIPE/TACLANE, COMSEC equipment, tactical military radio networks, Common Data Link (CDL), and networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE are highly desired. Strong communication skills and the ability to independently drive technical solutions are essential for success in this role., Bachelor of Engineering in a relevant field (ideally Electrical, Systems, or Computer Science) 9+ years of relevant Networking and Systems Engineering experience Active DoD Clearance (Top Secret preferred, Secret allowed) Networking certifications - specifically CCNA CompTIA Security+ certified, Experience troubleshooting network and next-gen firewall devices IPv4 and IPv6 network design Experience working in DOORS
