Job description

  • Define, design, and develop system requirements for cloud platform solutions on AWS.
  • Perform trade-off analysis of performance, lifecycle cost, risk, and producibility to optimize system architecture.
  • Assess hardware limitations, define system specifications, and evaluate input/output processes for hardware/software compatibility.
  • Coordinate the design of subsystems and the integration of the total system.
  • Implement and maintain AWS cloud services including VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch, and EKS.
  • Develop automation solutions using Terraform, Ansible, and Python to provision infrastructure policies as code.
  • Support system troubleshooting, upgrades, and system tuning to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Mentor junior and senior team members to foster technical growth and knowledge transfer.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions.
  • Engage in system security practices including implementing AWS security guardrails and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in AWS Cloud Platform engineering and administration.
  • 8+ years proven success overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software systems and applications.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
  • Extensive experience in automating cloud infrastructure with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, and CDK.
  • Demonstrated expertise in scripting with Python and shell scripting in Linux environments.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS/ECS).
  • A minimum of one AWS certification (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) required.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native architecture, microservices, service mesh, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and provide innovative solutions.
