Job description

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Camel K Developer in Saint Louis, MO., * Analyze and migrate existing ETL workflows and transformations from MuleSoft to Apache Camel K

  • Develop and maintain integration routes using Camel K on Kubernetes or OpenShift
  • Refactor and optimize legacy Java codebases for performance and maintainability
  • Collaborate with QA and business teams to define requirements, build test cases, and ensure UAT sign-off
  • Document integration solutions and maintain technical artifacts for ongoing support
  • Track defects, manage backlog items, and escalate roadblocks as needed

Requirements

  • 1-3+ years of Java development experience, with strong proficiency in integration solutions
  • 1-3+ years of hands-on experience with Apache Camel or Camel K
  • Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift environments.
  • Familiarity with transactional (e.g., MS SQL, PostgreSQL) and warehouse databases (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks)
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture
  • Proficiency in tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, and ADO for documentation and CI/CD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP, EDI, APIM, ASB, and MQ
  • Strong communication skills to interface technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Agile/Scrum team experience

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
