Job description
Insight Global is looking for a Digital Media Engineer II for one of our top clients in the Sacramento area. This person will be responsible for providing a high level of technical support through requirements gathering, design, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, upgrading, and maintaining collaboration and video surveillance technology. In addition to support of daily operations, this position includes vendor and customer interactions in the evaluation, technical design and implementation of projects that advance the state of digital media technology at the University. This position is responsible for third-level AV support for the HelpDesk and can be assigned up to 5-10 tickets a day via ServiceNow to attend to., Design, install, program, configure and maintain new or existing technology systems and services for a diverse customer base within the University community.

Produce and continue improvement of audiovisual designs documents including audio and video components, wiring schematics, and renderings.

Design, integrate, maintain, and program the latest AV control processors, servers, and peripheral devices.

Read architectural, mechanical, and electrical (MEP) drawing sets.

Prepare proposals and designs for audiovisual system integrations and installations.

Deliver customer and IT partner Digital Media technology end-user/administrator training.

Deliver AV projects on time, and on budget.

Contributing to design review and code review as required.

Log support requests and issues reported into a central database and maintain their updates.

Generate reports, analyze trends in issues, and contribute to the design and implementation of permanent resolution to issues.

Serve as project technical lead through:
o Planning and scheduling project timelines and milestones
o Estimating the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
o Developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirement documentation, technical training sessions, and presentations.
o Conducting project postmortems and creating recommendation reports to identify key project elements and improve future projects.
Requirements
5+ years overall audiovisual commercial integration experience as hands on A/V installer, design engineer, systems engineer and/or programmer
o Designing, installing, and managing audio-visual systems to enhance communication and collaboration

5+ years’ experience programming within Crestron and Biamp Plusses:

Live events experience
-
CTS certified
-
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering
Benefits & conditions
$31/hr to $41/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
