Senior Design Engineer in Gloucester

This role is ideal for an engineer with 5+ years’ experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment, who understands both the technical and practical aspects of designing products for efficient production and performance., * Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. \n

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Mechanical Design Engineer role. \n

• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and 2D CAD. \n

• Experience designing components or products for manufacture within a precision engineering or tooling environment. \n

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining methods, materials, and Design for Manufacture (DfM). \n

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills. \n, * Experience within the cutting tool, tooling, precision machining, or metalworking industries. \n

• Knowledge of CNC machining, tool geometry, and product validation. \n

• Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders to understand and translate technical requirements into practical designs. \n
