Job description
Blu Omega is seeking a Data Scientist to support a federal program focused on healthcare program integrity. This role operates within a remote environment and is responsible for analyzing Medicare and Medicaid data to detect fraud, waste, and abuse. The position requires experience supporting healthcare data analysis, reporting, and visualization in a client-facing capacity., * Serve as a customer-facing data coach for programmers and data scientists working with One PI applications and data.
- Support reports developed in SAS Enterprise Guide, Snowsight, and Databricks.
- Build interactive reports, dashboards, and map visualizations in Databricks and Snowsight notebooks.
- Analyze and interpret Medicare and Medicaid datasets to support healthcare reporting, compliance, and client deliverables.
- Analyze complex digital data to guide business decision-making.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and agile development processes.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 7+ years of work experience in information technology.
- Proficiency in Snowflake and Databricks software.
- Advanced programming skills in Python, including visualizations and predictive modeling.
- Strong SQL skills for data querying, transformation, and optimization.
- Experience with SAS Enterprise Guide and SAS Studio.
- Hands-on experience with Medicare and Medicaid data analysis and healthcare reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in client-facing roles.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and presentation skills.
Benefits & conditions
Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000.00
