Job description

Blu Omega is seeking a Data Scientist to support a federal program focused on healthcare program integrity. This role operates within a remote environment and is responsible for analyzing Medicare and Medicaid data to detect fraud, waste, and abuse. The position requires experience supporting healthcare data analysis, reporting, and visualization in a client-facing capacity., * Serve as a customer-facing data coach for programmers and data scientists working with One PI applications and data.

  • Support reports developed in SAS Enterprise Guide, Snowsight, and Databricks.
  • Build interactive reports, dashboards, and map visualizations in Databricks and Snowsight notebooks.
  • Analyze and interpret Medicare and Medicaid datasets to support healthcare reporting, compliance, and client deliverables.
  • Analyze complex digital data to guide business decision-making.
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and agile development processes.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 7+ years of work experience in information technology.
  • Proficiency in Snowflake and Databricks software.
  • Advanced programming skills in Python, including visualizations and predictive modeling.
  • Strong SQL skills for data querying, transformation, and optimization.
  • Experience with SAS Enterprise Guide and SAS Studio.
  • Hands-on experience with Medicare and Medicaid data analysis and healthcare reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in client-facing roles.
  • Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and presentation skills.

Benefits & conditions

Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000.00
