AI Solutions Engineer

The AI Centre of Excellence is responsible for identifying and delivering high-value AI opportunities, developing production-grade AI and ML solutions, and supporting the wider organisation in adopting new AI technologies and engineering practices. This is an opportunity to join a technically ambitious team working across AI, cloud, engineering and data, with exposure to complex enterprise environments., * Build AI solutions across AWS and Microsoft Azure

• Develop reliable APIs, services and data/AI pipelines
• Translate business challenges into practical AI opportunities
• Work with stakeholders to define technical requirements and measurable outcomes
• Implement monitoring, evaluation and optimisation of AI/ML solutions
• Embed security, privacy, governance and responsible AI practices
• Establish CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices
• Collaborate with engineering, data science, architecture and product teams
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pair programming and technical coaching
• Develop reusable engineering patterns and contribute to wider AI capability

• Strong experience delivering production-grade AI/ML solutions
• Strong software engineering and architectural capability
• Experience working with cloud platforms, particularly AWS and/or Azure
• Comfortable building APIs, services and production pipelines
• Strong understanding of LLMs, AI agents and knowledge-based applications
• Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure and production operations
• Strong understanding of security, privacy and responsible AI
• Able to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
• Passionate about mentoring and developing engineering capability
