Head of Master Data Management Solution Architecture Strategy - Director (Hybrid

As a senior member of the Master & Reference Data Architecture Strategy Group within the Enterprise Chief Data Office (ECDO), the Head of Master Data Management (MDM) Architecture Strategy will work across all lines of business to design, realize and adopt Citi’s next generation MDM capabilities.

The Head of MDM Architecture Strategy will lead a globally distributed team of senior architects with overall responsibility for the design of tactical and strategic features within Citi’ MDM platforms. The predominant data domains include but are not limited to Party (Internal/External), Account, Agreement and Financial Instrument (and related) data. The design responsibility will span firm-wide technology solutions to enhance, rationalize and adopt Citi’s MDM capabilities and drive increased data standardization through model driven development.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and build strong working partnerships and strategic relationships with key partners across operations and technology to align implementation with measurable business value.

• Define target state architecture for MDM capabilities and communicate vision and gain support across the organization.
• Define metrics-driven transformational priorities for the MDM domains.
• Design tactical and strategic solutions to reduce/eliminate material data quality issues, manual touchpoints and adjustments arising from MDM related issues.
• Establish MDM Data Modelling function to drive alignment to common data standards for MDM.

• Extensive experience as a platform architect for a front/middle/back-office capability.
• Extensive experience in the management of Architecture/Technology Function.
• Expert understanding of MDM solutions within a Global Financial Institution.
• Demonstrated subject area expertise in one or more MDM Domain (Party, Account, Product, Instrument, Agreement).
• Deep understanding of data modelling of conceptual, logical, physical models using a recognized modelling tool e.g. Magic Draw (highly desirable), Erwin, Toad.
• Excellent relationship management, communication, and presentation skills
• Strategic thinker; must be able to look towards the broadest possible view of an issue or challenge; can easily pose future scenarios; can think globally; and can discuss multiple aspects and impacts of issues and project them into the future Adaptable, flexible, and able to respond to changes in priorities

Education:

• (Preferred) Bachelors/University degree
• (Preferred) CFA.
