Scripting Test Scripts Backend Gitlab-ci Jenkins

Job description

Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions for web applications, APIs, and backend systems.
Create and execute automated test cases using Robot Framework.
Develop reusable test scripts and testing utilities using Python.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
Collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and QA teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Analyse test results, identify defects, and provide detailed reporting.
Contribute to test framework enhancements and automation best practices.
Support release activities and ensure quality standards are met across all environments.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the software testing and QA processes.

Requirements

Strong experience in Test Automation Engineering.
Hands-on expertise with Robot Framework.
Strong Python scripting and automation development skills.
Experience automating API and web application testing.
Knowledge of software testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or similar.
Experience using test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.).
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
Experience within the Energy & Banking sector.
