Job description
The IT Operations Specialist supports the day-to-day technology needs of a fast-paced organization. This role is responsible for providing technical support, maintaining core business systems, managing employee technology onboarding and offboarding, and helping ensure reliable and secure IT operations across a hybrid workforce. This position is ideal for an IT professional who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and supporting end users., Technical Support & Service Delivery
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee technology support requests.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, access, and connectivity issues in a timely manner.
- Manage and prioritize support tickets while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Systems & Collaboration Platform Administration
- Help maintain and support key business applications, including:
- Jira
- Confluence
- Bitbucket
- Slack
- Microsoft Teams
- 1Password

- Assist with user account management, permissions, and system access requests.
Network & Infrastructure Support
- Support office networking equipment and connectivity.
- Assist with maintaining a reliable technology experience for both on-site and remote employees.
- Escalate and coordinate resolution of infrastructure issues as needed.
Employee Technology Lifecycle Management
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities for employees and contractors.
- Provision and revoke access to business applications and systems.
- Configure, deploy, and recover company-issued technology equipment.
Asset Management
- Track, maintain, and audit hardware inventory.
- Administer device management processes using Mosyle and other management tools as needed.
- Support equipment procurement, replacement, and retirement activities.
Vendor & Process Management
- Assist with managing relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
- Participate in evaluating products, services, and renewals.
- Identify opportunities to streamline IT processes and improve end-user experience.
Security & Compliance
- Support organizational security, privacy, and access-control initiatives.
- Follow established policies and best practices related to technology operations and data protection.
- Assist with security awareness and operational compliance activities., In a typical week, you may:
- Configure and deploy laptops and user accounts for new hires using Mosyle and related tools.
- Troubleshoot network, system, or application issues to minimize business disruption.
- Resolve and document employee support requests through the IT ticketing process.
- Maintain accurate hardware and software inventory records.
- Train users on newly implemented productivity or AI-enabled tools.
- Support users experiencing issues within Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Slack, Teams, or 1Password.
- Conduct virtual onboarding sessions for remote team members.
- Create and update documentation, knowledge articles, and operational procedures.
- Coordinate equipment recovery and account deprovisioning for departing employees.
Requirements
- Foundational experience supporting IT operations, desktop support, or help desk environments.
- Working knowledge of macOS and common workplace technologies.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Slack, Microsoft Teams, and 1Password.
- Understanding of device management solutions such as Mosyle.
- Experience supporting office networking equipment and connectivity.
- Knowledge of IT asset management and inventory processes.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to document procedures, maintain knowledge-base content, and create user-facing training materials.
- Understanding of basic IT security and privacy principles.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid and distributed work environment.
