Job description
Youâll work closely with partners across disciplines to understand product, seasonal, brand, and player goals. As an individual contributor, your primary role will be helping the team handle the day-to-day creative problem solving tasks., * Execute on content plans for features, events, and seasonal experiences
- Create design documents and pitches
- Help assess content needs for features
- Design theming and narrative for exciting content such sticker sets, minigames, character designs and more
- Help maintain the consistency and integrity of the Monopoly brand, as well as any brands of our licensed IP partners
- Apply knowledge of player empathy and knowledge of the game and brand to create content aimed to deliver delight, wonder, and meaningful player moments
- Clearly communicate creative concepts, decisions, opportunities, and solutions through reviews, presentations, and supporting documentation
- Participate actively and constructively in creative reviews and planning
- Work with production to balance quality, timelines, dependencies, and production requirements
- Develop a strong understanding of our teamâs creative and design goals in order to contribute ideas and solutions that advance those goals
- Build productive working relationships with partners across disciplines, proactively seeking context and incorporating different perspectives
- Stay aware of changes and priorities across the broader team and adapt your work appropriately as needs evolve
- Demonstrate Scopelyâs tenets in day-to-day work, treating colleagues with fairness, respect, empathy, and compassion.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience in content design, game design, narrative design, game writing, creative development, or a related discipline.
- Creative problem solving skills.
- Resourceful and strategic thinking.
- A portfolio or body of work demonstrating creative or narrative content and strong craft fundamentals.
- Experience with short-form writing skills, including either/or copywriting, UX Writing
- Experience contributing to scoped creative work from concept through implementation and delivery.
- Strong understanding of how narrative, creative content, and design choices contribute to the overall player experience.
- Ability to work within limitations such as technical constraints, brand restrictions or game mechanics.
- Strong player empathy, appeal, and an ability to create content with a clear understanding of the intended audience, brand, and player experience.
- Ability to communicate complex creative ideas and rationale clearly creative stakeholders and external partners.
- Ability to leverage multiple IPs into a satisfying, cohesive experience for players.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build productive relationships across disciplines.
- Ability to receive, evaluate, and act on feedback while also providing thoughtful and constructive feedback to peers.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including consistent documentation, file management, and adherence to established production conventions.
- Experience using tools such as JIRA, Google Suite, Slack, Miro, Zoom, Airtable, Localization databases
- Strong interest in mobile games.
- Strong knowledge of pop culture/cultural zeitgeist.
- Willingness to attend occasional offsites and Scopely team-building events.

- Previous experience as a creative in the entertainment industry, either in film, animation, storyboarding, live theater, theme park design, or escape room design
- Previous experience in the visual arts
