Job description

Think is seeking an experienced AWS Full Stack Application Engineer to help modernize and transform a legacy enterprise application into a scalable, cloud-native solution for their client. This role will join a small, highly collaborative development squad responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and implementing enhancements while driving the application’s future-state architecture.

The ideal candidate will bring strong full-stack development expertise across Python, Angular, AWS, Java, and SQL, along with a passion for modern application design, cloud technologies, and AI-enabled development practices. Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the modernization and migration of a legacy application to a target-state cloud architecture.
  • Design, develop, test, and implement high-performance enterprise applications.
  • Build and maintain full-stack solutions utilizing Python, Angular, Java, and SQL technologies.
  • Develop cloud-native applications and services within AWS environments.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Design and build RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • Develop responsive user interfaces and application components using Angular.
  • Create and execute unit tests and support application testing efforts.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and integration issues.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and DevOps best practices.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices to improve productivity and code quality.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to long-term modernization strategies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience developing enterprise applications.
  • Strong Python development experience.
  • Experience developing front-end applications using Angular.
  • Experience building backend services using Java.
  • Strong SQL and database development experience.
  • Experience designing, developing, and supporting cloud-based applications in AWS.
  • Experience working with APIs, integrations, and distributed systems.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), design patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

AWS Experience

Hands-on experience with AWS services such as:

  • Lambda
  • API Gateway
  • ECS / Containers
  • S3
  • DynamoDB
  • SNS
  • SQS
  • EventBridge
  • CloudWatch
  • IAM

Experience developing, deploying, and supporting cloud-native applications is highly desired. Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience modernizing legacy applications and migrating workloads to cloud environments.
  • Exposure to microservices architectures.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
  • Experience with AI-enabled development tools and software delivery practices.
  • Understanding of application security, scalability, and performance optimization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
