Application Program Manager - APM 26-05646

We are seeking an experienced Application Program Manager to lead a large-scale enterprise modernization initiative within a public sector environment.

This role will be responsible for end-to-end program delivery, including planning, execution, governance, stakeholder management, and operational oversight. The ideal candidate will balance strategic leadership and hands-on program execution, ensuring successful delivery across application development, infrastructure, and business transformation efforts.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead overall program execution for enterprise modernization initiatives
• Manage timelines, schedules, milestones, and resource allocation
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including:
• Developers
• Architects
• Business Analysts
• Stakeholders
• Drive modernization strategy and transformation initiatives
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans
• Ensure alignment with enterprise governance and compliance standards
• Support Agile delivery frameworks and modernization roadmaps
• Oversee:
• Application modernization
• Infrastructure planning
• Operational continuity
• Manage status reporting and executive-level communications
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement and alignment
• Support business continuity and application migration planning
• Drive process improvement and operational optimization initiatives
• Monitor program deliverables, quality, and outcomes

Do you have experience in Risk management?, * 10+ years of Program or Project Management experience

• Proven experience leading enterprise application modernization programs
• Strong experience managing cross-functional technical teams
• Experience supporting multi-site operational environments
• Strong knowledge of:
• IT strategy
• Infrastructure planning
• Experience with business continuity planning and application migration
• Solid understanding of data management principles
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Strong risk management and operational planning capabilities

Preferred Experience

• Experience with public sector or government modernization initiatives
• Background in change management
• Experience in process improvement initiatives
• Exposure to cloud modernization programs
