Job description

Support our End User Support team as a 3rd line / Escalation Engineer.
Deliver troubleshooting and problem solving for complex technical issues.
Work closely with AMs, Project Managers, Service Delivery and customer IT teams.
Deliver Professional Services projects, migrations and technical implementations.
Produce technical designs, implementation plans, migration plans and documentation.
Take projects through discovery, design, implementation, testing and handover to BAU.
Conduct technical discovery, identify risks and technical debt, and recommend appropriate solutions.

Requirements

3 to 5+ years experience in 3rd line / infrastructure support, preferably some time spent within an MSP environment.
Strong Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Azure knowledge.
Strong Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy experience.
Good networking knowledge including TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls and VLANs.
Experience with Hyper-V and/or VMWare virtualisation.
Experience supporting and troubleshooting Citrix DaaS / Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.
Good PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
Experience with SQL Server administration and troubleshooting desirable.
Strong understanding of backup, disaster recovery and security technologies.
Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.
Ability to work closely with AMs, Project Managers, Service Delivery and customer IT teams.
Strong experience delivering Professional Services projects, migrations and technical implementations.
Experience working with Professional Services organisations, particularly accounting, legal or other regulated environments.
Understanding of the specific technology, security, compliance and confidentiality requirements of accountancy and legal firms.
Ability to produce technical designs, implementation plans, migration plans and documentation.
Experience taking projects through discovery, design, implementation, testing and handover to BAU.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical projects and priorities.
Strong commitment to documentation, standards and delivering supportable solutions.
Ability to conduct technical discovery, identify risks and technical debt, and recommend appropriate solutions.
Relevant Microsoft, Citrix, VMware or ITIL certifications desirable.
