Job description

Apply comprehensive technical knowledge of embedded microprocessor design and integration, including ARM Cores, DDR memory interfaces, and high-bandwidth USB and Ethernet.
Use simulation tools such as LTSpice for circuitry, HyperLynx for signal integrity, and MATLAB for system-level modeling.
Lead the full hardware design cycle, including requirement analysis, schematic capture using Mentor VX/DxDesigner, and complex high-speed layout analysis.
Execute subsystem and system-level verification and validation (V&V) test plans using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers to identify and resolve critical hardware defects.
Design for compliance with MIL-STD-461 (EMI/EMC) and adhere to IPC standards to ensure hardware reliability in demanding environments.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or a related field.
6+ years of relevant experience (4+ with a Master’s degree), or 10+ years of experience in Digital Design in lieu of a degree.
US Citizenship required.
Onsite Only role based in Rochester, NY.
Preferred: familiarity with SDR architectures, embedded SW/VHDL, and configuration management tools like Agile.
Preferred: nuanced understanding of Software Defined Radio (SDR) architectures and the interaction between digital boards and RF circuitry.
