A defense-focused engineering organization is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its Hardware Design Verification and Validation (HDV) team. This direct hire, onsite role is based in Rochester, NY, and focuses on designing and automating RF test and measurement systems used to test and characterize complex military communication and networking equipment. US Citizenship is required. What you’ll do

• Design and automate RF test and measurement systems for complex military communication/networking equipment
• Continuously improve measurement algorithms, techniques, and reporting to boost quality and reduce overall test time
• Consult with electrical engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate measurement techniques and related data as they pertain to operational needs
• Design, develop, and debug software applications for controlling and automating test and measurement equipment using NI LabVIEW and Test Stand

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience, OR a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience, OR in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
• US Citizenship required
• Preferred: proficiency with Object-Oriented Programming and Design (OOP/OOD)
• Preferred: familiarity with software management tools such as SVN/GIT and JIRA
• Preferred: RF and baseband test and measurement experience
• Preferred: familiarity with test equipment such as Spectrum/Network analyzers, Power Meters, DMMs, Oscilloscopes, and Audio analyzers
