Mid-Level Full-Stack Developer

We’re looking for a talented Full Stack Software Developer to join a growing engineering team based in Reading.

You’ll play a key role in designing, developing and maintaining modern web applications, working across both front-end and back-end technologies. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level developer who enjoys taking ownership of projects and working closely with product, design and engineering teams.

You’ll have the opportunity to work on new products as well as improving and modernising existing applications., * Design, develop and maintain scalable full-stack web applications.

• Build responsive and user-friendly front-end applications.
• Develop robust back-end services, APIs and integrations.
• Work with databases to design and optimise data structures and queries.
• Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code.
• Participate throughout the full software development lifecycle.
• Work closely with product managers, designers and other developers.
• Troubleshoot, debug and improve existing applications.
• Contribute to technical discussions and architectural decisions.
• Participate in code reviews and help maintain development standards.
• Support the deployment and monitoring of applications in cloud environments.

We’re looking for someone with approximately 2-3 years’ commercial software development experience who is comfortable working across both the front-end and back-end.

You’ll ideally have:

• Strong commercial experience as a Full Stack Developer or Software Developer.
• Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with a modern front-end framework such as React, Angular or Vue.js.
• Strong back-end development experience with Node.js, .NET or Java.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong SQL and relational database experience.
• Good understanding of software development principles and best practices.
• Experience working within Agile development teams.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Desirable Skills

• AWS, Azure or GCP experience.
• Docker and containerisation.
• CI/CD pipelines.
• Git and modern version-control practices.
• PostgreSQL, SQL Server or MongoDB.
• Microservices architecture.
• Automated testing and TDD.
• Experience working with SaaS or B2B products.
• Exposure to AI/GenAI technologies.
