Job description

C2R are recruiting for an experienced Fire & Security Project Manager to join a well-established business delivering integrated security and life safety projects across commercial environments.

This position would suit someone who has already managed installation and upgrade projects within the fire and security sector and is confident taking responsibility for delivery, technical standards, site teams and customer expectations.

You will oversee projects from mobilisation through to completion, coordinating engineers and subcontractors, monitoring progress, controlling costs and ensuring work is completed safely and to the required standard. Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of fire and security projects from initial planning through to handover.
  • Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, materials and site activity.
  • Ensure projects remain on programme and within agreed commercial parameters.
  • Monitor installation quality and ensure technical standards are maintained throughout.
  • Manage projects involving a mixture of security and life safety technologies.
  • Provide practical technical support to site teams where required.
  • Review project progress and resolve issues that could affect delivery.
  • Ensure all relevant project paperwork, reports and records are completed accurately.
  • Maintain strong standards of Health & Safety across sites and project activity.
  • Carry out appropriate site checks and compliance reviews.
  • Liaise regularly with customers, contractors and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify practical solutions to technical or operational challenges.
  • Ensure customers receive a professional and responsive service throughout the project lifecycle.

What We Are Looking For

You will ideally have previous experience managing projects within the fire, security or electronic security sector.

Suitable candidates should also demonstrate:

  • Experience managing installation or system upgrade projects.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards, including NSI requirements.
  • The ability to understand and work from project programmes and installation schedules.
  • Experience coordinating engineering teams and subcontractors.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to keep projects on track.
  • Good technical knowledge across electronic security systems.
  • A practical approach to problem solving.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with customers, contractors and engineering teams.
  • Good general IT skills, including Microsoft 365.
  • A valid ECS or CSCS card.
  • A full UK Driving Licence.

Formal project management or site management qualifications such as SMSTS or PRINCE2 would be beneficial, although support may be available for the right person to work towards these. Personal Attributes
