IT Support Technician

The Client Technologies Technician - Entry provides frontline IT support for faculty, staff, and students within the College of Nursing. This role focuses on troubleshooting, customer service, and maintaining technology functionality across university facilities. The position is fully onsite and requires a current South Carolina resident. Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues to faculty, staff, and students.
• Troubleshoot and resolve IT problems efficiently and effectively.
• Support IT needs during university ceremonies and events, including potential evening or weekend work.
• Travel between university buildings to deliver onsite support.
• Assist with setup and maintenance of client technologies within the College of Nursing.

• Foundational IT knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be a current South Carolina resident.
• Successful completion of a 7-year standard background check and credit history check.
• Compliance with E-Verify and employment validation requirements.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in IT support or related technical roles.
• Familiarity with university IT environments and client technologies.

• May require travel between multiple campus buildings.
• Potential evening and weekend work for special events.
• Must comply with university security protocols and background checks.

Scheduling:

• Full-time, 37 hours per week.
• Standard daytime hours with occasional evening or weekend shifts as needed.
• Contract duration of 2 months with possibility for extension.
